Today we honor those who defend Ukraine, protect its independence, freedom and the right of Ukrainians to live on their land.

We thank each defender and each defender for their courage, steadfastness and devotion to Ukraine. For every day that we have the opportunity to live, work, teach children, support each other and build the future of our state.

We bow our heads to the memory of the Heroes who gave the most precious thing for Ukraine - their lives. Their feat will forever remain in our memory and history.

We wish our soldiers strength and endurance, the reliable shoulder of their brothers and sisters and a speedy return home to their relatives and friends.

May the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos protect all who stand today in defense of Ukraine.
