On December 3, 2026, the State Institution "Institute of Soil Protection of Ukraine" is holding the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Protection and Rehabilitation of Soil Resources in Conditions of Ecological Crises", dedicated to World Soil Day.

The conference is designed to bring together scientists, practitioners, representatives of state institutions, educational and scientific institutions and other stakeholders to discuss current challenges in the field of protection, monitoring, restoration and sustainable use of soil resources.

The main thematic areas of the conference:
environmental policy and legal regulation - national and international soil protection standards, sustainable land use policy in conditions of crises, environmental legislation and control over land use;
soil and climate - monitoring of soil conditions, assessment of their fertility and biological activity, the impact of climate change on soil resources, adaptation of agroecosystems to climate change;
degradation processes – erosion, compaction, salinization, desertification and soil pollution; military degradation and the impact of military operations on the quality of soils; soil monitoring in areas of military operations; soil protection technologies and the economic consequences of their degradation;
regenerative agriculture and soil health – methods for restoring soil fertility and biodiversity, innovative technologies for reclamation and bioremediation;
digital soil monitoring and modeling – geographic information systems (GIS), satellite monitoring and remote sensing, Big Data, artificial intelligence and neural networks in soil science, mapping of soil degradation and global databases.

Format: online, on the Zoom platform.

Conference language: Ukrainian.

To participate in the conference, you must register by November 17, 2026 by filling out the form. Abstracts of reports are accepted until November 17, 2026 inclusive. The conference materials will be published in a special issue of the collection of scientific works "Soil Protection" on the website of the State Institution "Institute of Soil Protection of Ukraine".
