Ukrainian delegation visited the Sanko Environmental Analysis Center in Japan
On August 28, 2026, representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, including the Acting Director General of the State Institution "Institute of Soil Protection of Ukraine" Roman Palamarchuk and the Head of the Department Yaroslava Zhukova, visited the Sanko Environment Analysis Center in Japan.
During the visit, Ukrainian specialists got acquainted with the activities of the Center, its approaches to conducting environmental research and laboratory analyses. Special attention was paid to soil research issues. Japanese specialists presented a presentation "Key points to consider when conducting soil analysis", during which they shared practical approaches and features of conducting relevant research.
Sanko Environmental Research Center has been working in the field of environmental research and analysis since 1976. The Center's activities cover a wide range of areas, including soil analysis and research on their contamination, analysis of surface and groundwater, environmental monitoring and radiological research.
The professional exchange with Japanese colleagues gave the Ukrainian delegation the opportunity to familiarize themselves with practical approaches to soil condition research and soil contamination assessment. The experience gained is relevant in the context of tasks to assess the condition and further restoration of agricultural lands in Ukraine.
